Silversmithing Classes

Having just led two separate, individual classes with two very talented and eager to learn students this week, I am reminded why I love to teach this craft. Four days, two different women with a dream to learn an ancient craft. I get to meet some remarkable people, from all different walks of life, hear their stories and give them my own. We become friends. Easily.
In this world of confusion and turmoil, there is also beauty and refuge. To share space and stories enlarges us. It takes us beyond our daily routine and opens our eyes and our souls to others journeys.
Creating something from your own hands, your own vision and creative space- is rewarding. To set limits on yourself comes easily. To see those limiting beliefs dissolve with the acquisition of a new skill, a new opportunity for growth, is priceless.
I am thankful for my job.

An artists passion- Be Unique, Buy Handmade

I have been working hard finishing up these beauties, and I am so thrilled. There is nothing like the magic that happens on the workbench. I truly believe that when you have a passion for your art, it can't help but come through in your art.
I am beyond grateful to my loyal following of clients that keep me able to pursue my art and share timeless pieces of jewelry that speak to the vision of each of my customers. Thank you and the Universe for allowing me to continue to create heirloom jewelry.

I'm in the FINALS for Best Jeweler in Mount Washington Valley!

Thank You for nominating me and voting me into the FINALS for best jeweler in the Mount Washington Valley !!!!!!
I am so fortunate to be included into this group. It has been my DREAM since I was a child to make jewelry from the heart, with my own hands. My first creation was at 10 years old- I made hand hammered copper bracelets in my Dad's garage, from an old copper pipe, using his grinding wheel and old hammers.
Please VOTE again now for the FINALS, voting closes on April 24, 2016.

Baby it's cold outside!

With the winter winds howling down from the mountains and across the fields, I find myself homebound in my studio today, the driveway packed with deep snow drifts. The fire is roaring in the woodstove and all is good.
A new box of supplies waits to be opened and played with. Ready to head into the studio to work on a custom ring commission, and perhaps make some new hair barrettes with torch fired enamels on copper. These also double as beautiful shawl pins. Some new enamel colors have been unpacked from my goodie box, and I can't wait to try them out.

On a sad note, I had to say goodbye to my loyal studio mate of nearly 12 years, my sheltie, Jake passed away just before Christmas from congestive heart failure. I will miss him terribly, he was my shadow and so happy to just be by my side. We are dog lovers here, and we have 3 other dogs, who are wonderful, but as you animal lovers know, there is no denying the huge hole left in our lives when we have to say goodbye. Thanks for showing me the way, Jake. xo
